come across the updates that say that Tier-I/ Tier-II is a CBT, the Tier-III
will be a Pen-Paper based Exam and Tier-IV will be CBT/Skill Test (also
includes Document Verification).
SSC CGL Tier 1 New Exam Pattern:
What is new in this Tier-I Exam Pattern is what we are furnishing
below. Previous the questions used to be total 200, but now they have been
reduced to 100 questions only. Not only the questions but the time duration has
also diminished to 60 minutes which was 75 minutes before. However, all
subjects will be as same as they were before.
SSC CGL Tier 2 New Exam Pattern:
In this Tier-II exam, the SSC has not done much editing. What
it has rather done is changed the “Exam Mode” i.e. it will be conducted Online.
This Tier-2 has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper has got total 200
marks and there is also negative marking of ¼ marks.

SSC CGL Tier 3 New Exam Pattern:
Important things to know about Tier-III exam are as follows:
- This is a Pen-Paper based
exam and a Descriptive Paper set in English and Hindi language.
- Topics covered in this are
Essay Writing/Letter/Applications/Précis.
- Time duration will be 1
Hour.
- This exam carries total 100 marks.
SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam Pattern:
The time total of this Tier-4 is going to be 45 Minutes and questions
are to be put out from Word Excel/ Power Point. The test will be a CPT
(Computer Proficiency Test) in CSS and MEA for the post of Assistant Section Officer
only.
